the fine print
Privacy
The short version: this is a personal site. It collects aggregate analytics, standard hosting logs, and whatever you choose to send through the contact form. Nothing is sold to anyone.
What gets collected
- Analytics. This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic: pages viewed, approximate location (city level), device and browser type, and how visitors arrive. GA sets cookies and assigns a random identifier. I see aggregate reports, not individual identities.
- Hosting logs. The site is hosted on Netlify, which keeps standard server logs (IP address, user agent, requested URLs) for security and operations, per Netlify's privacy policy.
- Contact form. If you use the contact form, whatever you write — plus the email address you provide — is delivered to me and used only to reply to you.
What doesn't happen
- No data is sold or rented to anyone, ever.
- No advertising or ad-tracking networks run here.
- No profiles are built beyond the aggregate analytics described above.
Third parties
The only third parties that see traffic data are Google (Analytics) and Netlify (hosting). Both act as processors under their own published privacy policies.
Your options
Analytics respects standard blocking: browser tracking protection, content blockers, and the GA opt-out extension all work here. If you'd like anything you've sent me deleted, get in touch and it's gone.
